Beautiful Bournemouth

Mid May we took some time to visit my Uncle Gary (Dad's brother), Aunty Ann and Family in Bournemouth - the town where my family comes from and where Dad spent his first few years of life before journeying to the Great South Land of Australia...

Dad's first house (originally was just the left half)

Walking to the beach

You could live in these beach huts if wanted to! They have full kitchens and sleeping areas. There are shower and toilet blocks near by. Some of the huts are as big as permanent studios here in London (very small!)

A few changes...

Some of you may have heard already that Corey has been promoted at work to Supervisor! Very exciting.
However, he did have to make a few changes to get this position...

Celebrating my birthday in true child style!

On Saturday 6th May it was my 24th Birthday. So Corey decided to plan a special surprise weekend for me.

The first surprise was when I was at the hair salon; while I was waiting to get my hair washed I was surprised with a big bouquet of flowers delivered to me from Corey. A fantastic surprise.

Then I met Corey after he finished work and we caught the bus to Bracknel, near Simone and Justins house. We then were met by Simone and Justin had a quick bite to eat at tasty McDonalds, then promptly hit the motorway to ... somewhere.

Eventually we arrived at the Holiday Inn Hotel, again somewhere - my eyes had been covered when ever a sign appeared telling me where we were. Once all checked in I was told that we all needed to get a good night sleep as we had to be on the road again by 5:30am!!!

The next morning we were up and on the road ... by about 5:35am, and it wasnt long before we arrived at the Eurotunnel International Train station - we were off to France (could of been anywhere in Europe really!). For breakfast Simone had packed cute little individual boxes for us with crossiants, fruit and some orange juice.

Once we arrived in France we were back on the highway, again.
Simone also made us wear party hats and play party games to pass the time - pass the parcel.
Still not sure where we were going but with a pretty good guess in mind, I soon saw the signs confirming my suspicions ... we were off to the DISNEYLAND RESORT PARIS! Thats right, Disneyland. I was soooooooo excited. Justin and I had never been to Disneyland, Corey had been to the one in L.A and Simone had been to the one in Tokyo.

It was sooooo exciting. We went on some great rides - Space Mountain 2 was the favourite of the day. We were only there for the day, so we had to cram a lot in. But it was fun.

Space mountain is an indoors ride, so when we entered it was warm and muggy, when we left the buidling it was pouring down rain - my straight hair didnt last long.

That night we went out for dinner at a Mexican restaurant near our hotel, Mister Bed. A really good hotel at a really good price.

The next morning we had a late breakfast then hit the highway again back to England, stopping for lunch in Lille - the 4th largest city in France (I think).

All up it was the best birthday ever! Thanks Hunny!

Colour Your World ~ London 2006

Two weekends ago Simone came in and we both went to the Hillsong Colour Conference here in London. We've both wanted to go to the Sydney one for years, and now finally we have had the chance to go! We can't wait to attend the Sydney one though, I think it would be extra special in the home city.
We had a great time, with lots of treats and gifts along the way.
One of our favourite things was this: the conference was held at Wembly Stadium, about 7-10 minute walk from the nearest Tube (train) station. So what some of the men did was place themselves along the walk from the conference centre to the station about 200m apart and escort us safely to and from the conference. Some would even walk with you until you reached the next person. It was really lovely and made us feel safe, but also really special!
Farewell Colour! A guard of honour, volunteers from the conference, dressed in suits, holding and giving out beautiful red roses to all the delegates. A lovley way to end the two days.
