BBQ and Punting in Oxford

Lighting the BBQ - very clever inventions.
It's an aluminum foil tray with coals inside covered with a wire rack. Theres a peice of paper which you light and it sets the coals alight. Its a use once BBQ. Can take it anywhere!

A weekend with Simone and Justin ... and the QUEEN

Walking in the woods near Simone and Justin's house, Wokingham
Windsor Castle, Windsor

Here comes the Queen...

Simone and I went ballistic when we realised we had just seen the Queen! We made quite a scene. Can you see her? She's in the lovely green outfit. We were even more excited when we realised we had got a photo of her. It was a surprise. All these people were coming along in horse and carts back from the races, which the Queen 'hosts'. Simone thought she had already been by. Anyway, we just happened to be snapping photos of anyone who came past and it turned out to be the Queen!
I was really hoping to see the Queen and I did! Simone has seen the her out of a car, hopefully I might get a chance too, but at least I can say I've seen her ... even have a photo!
The latest
Hi, it's Sarah here. Just thought I'd put up a short update on what I've been up to.
I haven't really been up to much except working. It seems like all I do is work. But we do have a lot of exciting things coming up in the next 6 weeks for the next few months (travelling)!
The past couple of weeks (other than working) I have spent some time in the park in the sun. We don't have lovley beaches here like we do back home, people go to the park instead.
Simone and Justin and Corey and I went to see Footloose at West End. That was fun, my first West End show. I hope to see The Lion King as well.
We've visited the British Museum and saw some real life mummies, they were literally the mummies, centuries old! So incredible. We've got photos. Its inspired me even more to visit Egypt.
There is so much to do here in London and for free. But even though you spend so much time here and its only till the last minute that you decide you want to see it all!
The world cup has been and gone. Thank goodness. Its all people over here talked about. England has cried and now they're onto the cricket.
What else? Our good friend and flat mate, Therese from Sweden, has left and now we have a girl from Nice living with us, Lea. Kelly from NZ is still with us.
A few months back Skye from Geelong stayed with us. That was really great - I LOVED HAVING YOU STAY SKYE. COME BACK SOON!
Oh and I resigned from my job a few weeks ago, that went well. Everybody is sad that I am leaving, which was a nice surprise.
Hmmm, thats about it. In 6 and a half weeks Tina and Geoff arrive, in 7 weeks from today we'll all be in Paris and beginning our 2 month tour of Europe. So I cant wait for that.
Thats about it really.
We'll try to post some summer pictures soon and some mummy shots too!
