Back In Paris
Hey everyoneWell, we are back in Paris! It seems like only a couple of days ago that we were here about to begin this massive trip that has now come to an end.
We have spent the last two nights in Tours, France. After the nice and sunny beaches of San Sebastian in Spain, we were met with rain and temperatures that we haven't felt for a while. It was a good time just to hang out together and not do much.
We walked around the town and spent a bit of time checking emails etc. I cannot find a proper internet cafe where I can plug our iPod into! It is so so frustrating! I want to put some pics up on the site for you but until I find a computer that takes our iPod, its just boring old stories for you!
Tomorrow we are going to the Lourve to see Mona Lisa which we didn't get to visit first time round. We will also go to visit the Eiffel Tower again but this time at night. We're told its a great sight when its all lit up. Every hour on the hour for 8 minutes it apparently sparkles with all the lights on it so that should be cool to see.
For those of you who didn't know, our 3rd wedding anniversary was on the 11th! Not many people can say that for their wedding anniversary they were in Spain so we feel very blessed. It will definately be one to remember. We a fun day. Although we didn't have much money we managed to go out and get some nice dinner. Its hard to believe we've been married for three years!
So as the time clock clicks down to our ticket running out, we've had a lot of people asking us when we're coming home.
Originally we were just going to be here for 1 year but as soon as we arrived, we realised that wasn't going to be long enough. So we decided to extend for maybe 18-24 months which is the case. At this stage we will be back in Australia at the start of May 2007.
We've decided, after our Euro trip, to go back to London and work for about 7 or 8 weeks and top up the bank account. We then plan to move to Israel for 6 months where we will be living on a Kibbutz. If you don't know what a Kibbutz is check out this link: www.kibbutz.com.au
Have a read through the site and let us know what you think.
This is something that Sez and I have talked about ever since coming over here. Israel is so close and I know that the time spent here with Israeli people and experiencing their culture and actually being in the same place that Jesus was and standing where He stood completely blows us away! We've been learning Hebrew for a little while too!
We're really excited about it and would appreciate your prayers as we plan for this massive trip!
We're also planning to go on a tour run by Chuck Misseler which is one of the main reasons for us to be going there. Check out his ministry web site: www.khouse.org
Some of you may have heard him on Rhema FM.
So yeah, that's the plan so far. We will be hopefully making our way back up through Greece and then back to London and then flying back to our home, Australia!
I hope that puts you all in the know of what we're up to and what we've been up to for the last month and a bit. We've had such an unbelievable time and we'll never forget it. I'm glad that we had Mum & Dad along with us for some of it as we have those memories to share and talk about when we get back. Some funny times had with Nanny Weener and the Jam Shorts Kid!
We will put photo updates on here when we get back to London and computers that actually are fast! But until then, we'd really appreciate your prayers in the finance department. That we'd be able to get jobs that pay what we will need to get to Israel and home again and also that we will have a place to stay within our budget.
Thanks heaps.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon
Love Corey & Sarah
