Some pics for you...

We finally worked out how to get photos onto the site with this computer. Here are some pics of the area around The Plough where we live and work starting with the churchyard gate

Within 2 days the majority of these leaves had been blown off!
There is a very old church next door to The Plough. It has a grave yard. This photo is of the door to the church from the inside looking out down the path and the grave yard on sunset. It was very cold that day!

Corey and Sarah are still away from home...

The Plough, Clanfield

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, we have arrived in the Oxfordshire county in the village of Clanfield, 1 hour from Oxford.
We are working at The Plough Hotel (www.theploughclanfield.co.uk). We have a live-in job (we live in the hotel in one of the rooms with our own bathroom and TV! We get our meals cooked for us by the Chef in the evening, breakfast and lunch is provided too) and we work in the restaurant/bar and do a bit of housekeeping too.

We are here to save money to get to Israel, probably 3 months at this stage.

The job is going ok so far. Neither of us have much experience, but I think they will keep us on after our week here. We can at least speak English - there were 2 Thai girls here before us who couldnt speak any English.

Well thats enough from me (Sarah), the next few months will be fairly similar from week to week. The hotel is in the Cotwolds region, so there will be plenty of nice places to visit near by, if we can get around by bus.

Send us an email, we love hearing from you!

At long last...

After a long 2 weeks Corey and I finally have some job prospects.
We've been offered a live-in job at a lovely small hotel in the Cotswolds (a region in the beautiful English country side).
We will head down this week for a trial and see how we fit in. So that is all very exciting.
We will update you all on how this job is working out for us as soon as we can.

Our very dear friend, Katie Butcher, has just arrived from Australia, so we have had some time with her before we head off for this job.

We've been around a few of the sites together, which has been great. Its as if no time has passed since seeing her. It's always strange seeing people from 'home' here in London. Especially when its still hard to beleive that we are actually here in the UK, after almost 12 months.

Tonight we dine with some other dear friends, Chris and Robyn Maddock (Dave's parents), while they're here on a short stop after their USA trip.

The last week here has been a smorgasboard of fireworks as its the time of year that the Brits celebrate, Guy Fawks day (celebrating the failed attempt of blowing up Parliment house by Guy Fawkes and clan in the 1600's). Fireworks have been sold everywhere and set off all night long until approx 10pm. They even have beware of setting off fireworks ad's on tv like they do for speeding or drink driving etc. Its very exciting.
